Hell yeah. My first time out in the xj resulted in a wet filter so I think it'll be worthy and needed. It's funny cuz the first time out in my TJ i also got a wet filter. I guess my username explains it all.

looks nice but i think you might have a issue with airflow with that kind of top

If I'm not mistaken (and correct me if I am), that area where you have the intake mounted becomes a dead space for air because it hits the windshield and goes up and over.
But, I was thinking more in terms of how much open space is there with that cap on to actually suck air in? It doesn't look like much, and you wouldn't want to allow less air through because your rig just won't run right.
Not trying to bust your chops because the idea is a good one, just don't want you to regret it in the end.
