Terraflex quick disconects
i have been running the terraflex quick disconects link---> XJ/ZJ Swaybar Disconnects-2-4" lift | TeraFlex Suspensions for about a year and half now, and i just now have noticed that the top mounting bolt on the quick disco is punching throught the body and has created a whole in it about the size of a nickle to the size of a quarter, i am either thinking if i just trim the stud that is sticking out of where the nut tightens down on the sway bar then ill be good? or should i just get new quick discos? help me out thanks.

You should not need to buy new ones. Can you flip the bolt? I cant tell by the picture. Or can you loosen the bolt that hold the sway bar against the frame and slide the sway bar over a little bit away from the frame?
Not saying this is what is wrong but sometimes what happens is when the track bar is either too short or not adjusted correctly it will pull the sway bar over in to the frame or I guess pull the body into the sway bar either way it will cause it to rub on the frame.
This happens often on XJs and TJs, I see it a lot where I work.
Sometime people will put hose clamps on there SB to stop it from sliding over into the frame.

Sounds like you did not bump stop after lifting? You might just have too much upward travel.

There are several things to take into consideration when bump stopping. It is best done with the front springs removed so you can cycle the suspension without them. One is the compressed length of the shocks, the next is tires hitting sheet metal, axle hitting any new mods etc and in your case the sway bar being crammed up too far.

you could try a cheepo fix, by installing 2 hockey pucks in each coil bucket, just make sure you glue them down/together with windshield varathane, not silicone

Do you disconnect when off roading?
Another member had this issue and it was determined that the sway bar links were too long for his lift height. During bumps or speed bumps, the sway bar upper stud would punch a hole through the fender cuz it was too close to it. You need shorter sway bar links, or make sure you disconnect when off roading.

Is it hitting the frame or the fender/wheel well?
It does sound like they may be to long.
