Not to be a jerk or anything, but WHY? Your vehicle was designed to run with a cat and muffler so the engine has the proper amount of back pressure.

It's straight from the cat's back. I didn't loose that much hp or torque.

Back pressure doesn't help an engine run better or longer. That is a old wive's tale. If it were true, AA/FD would run faster with the the headers welded shut!
An engine is an air pump, a self-powered airpump and if you can't get the "air" out as well as in, you can't produce as much power.
As far as cats are concerned, do you realize how hot that substrate has to get before it can work as designed? If you heated your exhaust pipe that hot it would glow a dull red (1700+degrees). Btw, the "design" was from a bunch of tree-huggers, not automotive or chemical engineers. Proof? If it got hot enough all the time, it wouldn't load up with carbon, and how often do you hear of cats plugging up?
It's better the fuel burns cleanly in the cylinder (ignition timing, fuel/air mixture, and free breathing) than making a hot spot under your passenger's butt.

The cat was designed to cut down on exhaust emissions by heating up and burning what your motor did not. If your cat is getting to 1700*, then I would assume that your motor is running like crap and is dumping a lot of fuel and other chemicals down into the cat causing it to get that hot. Cats wouldn't clog up if people took care of their motors the same way they do their interiors.
The cat was not designed by some tree hugging hippie! I personally know one of the people who helped designed it and he is far from that and to boot he is a chemical egineer.

about the cat i used to have a rx7 which is a rotary engine, and those natrually run rich and are crazy hot running, i put a brand new cat on it when i purchased vehicle and 6 months down the road the cat was white and flaking, i cut it off and the cat was hollow, the cat said was a high heat cat but apparently the rotary was too much of a match, after that ran straight pipe on it and gained 20 hp 10 torque dyno proven, all cats do is reduce emissions, as of my exhaust on my jeep now it goes header mid pipe to flowmaster super 44 then dumps out to the ground before the axel, i have yet to put my tail pipe back on, i dont see much of a problem really.
