Default Weird noise when I turn my steering wheel?

Sorry if I'm posting too many threads guys.

But when I turn my steering wheel, or make a left/right hand turn, I hear this ERRRRRRRR noise. That's all I can describe of it, you'd have to be in the Jeep to understand what I'm talking about. Hoping somebody here has had the same problem and knows what's wrong and if it's a real problem I should worry over.

Do you hear the sound when you are turning at a big angle and the wheel has no where else to go?

No. I tried this sitting at a red light yesterday, I just turned my wheels left and right and I kept hearing the noise. I haven't been offroad in about two months.

For some reason it keeps making a grinding sound when I turn my steering wheel while my Jeep isn't moving or moving slowly. Once I start to drive the car and turning at 15mph it doesn't make this sound anymore. Again the sound only happens when I turn the steering wheel while I'm parked or moving forward or backward very slow. I think it might be my power steering, but I'm not 100% sure. If I'm low on power steering fluid would this cause it to make a sound?

Sorry for the double post

I feel like such an idiot. I bought some Power Steering Fluid and refilled it and the problem is solved. Mods you can delete/lock this thread, whatever you gotta do. Thanks.

The first thing that comes to mind is your power steering pump. It might be a little dry, or just worn. In either case, not really much of a big deal.

Just remember, you shouldn't turn your steering wheel to the full-lock position (either to the right or left). Glad you found and fixed the problem!
