Default 5.9 Limited

Well I think I should introduce my Jeep, it's a 98 Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited it's got over 180k and it's a work in progress. Has a 3" lift kit which I plan to go long arm and 4" or 5" lift, she sits on American Racing wheels 30" tires. The front D30 has a Auburn Gear ECTED - Locker. Under the hood has a cold air intake, 1" throttle body spacer, and a HUGHES Engine FI AIRGAP intake manifold. She has custom made rock sliders, Skid Row engine/trany skid plat, JKS shock bar pin eliminators, extended front brake lines, a KOR tire roof rack. Well I think that's all, like I sad it's a work in progress so there's more to do with it and my list is growing.

Nice 5 Nine!

Let me know if you have any questions about the 5.9, I have been dealing with the ZJ for many Years .
Do You still have the factory Dana 44a with the Trac loc limited slip with 373s in the rear?

And how does the front Locker work with the factory 249 Full time transfer case?

Yup I still have the D44a and Trak loc with the 373 rear.

That looker is sweet I must be (the most) climbing 60% rocky trails like it was nothing, that's what they fill like to me. I just came bake from a run and I hop some one got a pic of me climbing, if they did I'll post a one. I don't know what the big dill is with the 249 but I am happy with it. Once I can lift my jeep higher I'm going to lengthen the drive shaft front and rear which is all I should need to do for the lift.

you will not need to lengthen you rear drive shaft at 4", but when I went to 5.5 I need it done. Now the front is different, you need to ditch that 5.9 cv or prop-shaft style front drive shaft and switch over to U - joint style. the factory cv drive shaft length is factory set the CV joint can not accommodate for the extra length like the slip yoke can.

I am locked front and rear with Aussie lockers . I count on lockers to get the job done. they make an ZJ awesome off road.

Who did you get your front shaft from and how much longer did you go with? I'm thinking of going 5.5 on the lift. On the rear I was thinking of putting a double cardan on to lengthen it like Tom Wood's custom dos.
