I went through hell with my '04 last year... at first it was just a rough idle with a misfire code on cyl #6. We removed the spark plug and replaced it, and it ran even worse. Jerking around like a paint mixing machine at low speeds/stops/idling... I continued to drive it because I didn't really have a choice (TERRIBLE MISTAKE)! Eventually, it got worse and I'd have to practically floor it to go over 20mph.. had it towed to a local shop and I had to have it sent to a dealership from there because the damage was so extensive they couldn't repair it. Turns out, the carbon build up caused a valve to completely stick. It ended up burning out and practically killing the cylinder. I even have a picture somewhere of the sparkplug completely smashed in at the tip from being in there.

All I can say is, just be careful if you continue to drive this thing without knowing what's going on. I would hate for you to have to end up with a $3500 repair bill like I did! Cylinder misfire is not something to fool around with (at least in my experience). Good luck!

I would have never thought of that never having that prob before. It wouldn't take to long to pull off the head and give it a look. And at least you could lap the valves and have fresh gaskets. Witch now that I think of it a bad head gasket can make your moter run like a 3 legged dog.

^ Indeed, haha.

Let's put it this way, if your sparkplug in the affected cylinder looks like the one pictured here on the left, you've got probs:
