dino oil, synthetic or ultra synthetic?
ok i know theres alot of debate but im confused about what oil to buy....either mobile 1 high mileage(regular) mobile one synthetic, penzoil synthetic or penzoil ultra synthetic.....i got 180K on my jeep and it doesn't leak at all. The penzoil one claims to boost horsepower a lil but im guessing thats if ur engines dirty n what not... what yas think?

If it doesn't leak now, I'd just stick with dino, maybe one with high-mileage additives. Don't wanna clean out that engine too much, RMS might start leaking.

I use Mobil 1 in all my vehicles...but I always stock up when it goes on sale, so it ends up costing me only slightly more then the regular stuff

I used to use Mobil 1 in my TJ but the price went up so I switched to Mobil 5000 and I change it every 6-8 months cuz it takes me a year or two to hit 3000 miles. If I buy a brand new car then I'll use synth again but good ol' oil does me good and always has.

oil
I posted something about Lucas oil on here in one of these threads somewhere and it also talks a little on synthetics too........just a suggestion but I would do some research on stuff like that before making a decision. I do not run synthetics in my axles because I noticed that it ran hotter than normal and did some research on it and found that some synthetics do not climb the gears like they should and lucas mixes a ton of air in with the oils. I now run dino and it runs much cooler.

I run Valvoline Racing oil because it is one of the very few oils that contains ZDDP which is a zinc additive that helps engines without roller engines. most oils have zinc taken out of the engines because of regulations that came out of California.
