Fuel Tank is Being Weird...

Hey friends, so I couldn't really search for this or find anything on it. However, maybe you can help me.

So when filling up for gas I can't hold down the pump all the way. It's like this at every station, but I can still hold it down lightly and it'll fill fine just kind of a pain. A friend of mine just said I may need to pour something into the tank, but he couldn't remember what.

Check your filler tube for smashed places or kinks first, but some fillers just can't take a lot of flow.

Both my 79 and 80 Dodge pickups would not take fuel faster than the first catch. On the 79 that was for both tanks. Just too many bends and too flat on the run into the tank.

Also check to make sure that the breather is not kinked too.
