Default Grocery Gitter Gone Wild!

Ok, I've got a 2002 WJ, been the wifes for seven years, now I get it..... I'm trying to strategicaly plan my mods (economy has placed major restraints on me, as most of us as well!). anyone have any ideas on where to start. I am looking at a budget boost lift, affordable, however do not know if I will be satisfied with it.. anyone have one? can I see a pic? It's a 2.25 - 2.5 coil spacer lift.

Your best bet is to figure out what you want your end goal to be. Do you see yourself on tires larger than 31's down the road? Do you see yourself turning this into a dedicated wheeler? Are you looking at keeping it street and weekend wheeler? What's your budget?

Budget Boosts are great, but the problem is that you'll get inch-itis and want to go bigger again in the future.

I'm not sure I'd do anything to it if your daughter isn't interested. It'll just raise the cost of tires you have to buy for it and let's face it, altering the suspension on these things puts stress on things that were not designed for it.

That being said, I did the "in steps" thing with my cherokee. First ZJ coils, now I've got ~3" of lift via random parts I bought off of forums. I'm looking at a 4.5" BDS kit in the future, as a beat all/end all for the XJ. The final step so to speak. However, if you're set on a budget boost, I'd get Kevin's Offroad's 2.75 kit with new coils or the OME kit. Stock coils are ok for stock vehicles. With the change in angle of your control arms and higher COG, you'll want the added spring rate aftermarket coils give you. It will reduce nose dive during breaking and help stabilize it off-camber. Plus, the KOR kit has the block to reset the rear upper "wishbone" to its original position and prevent the ball/socket joint on top of the rear diff from failing.
