I had an 87 Porsche 944 and found it was a piece of SH**. It cost nearly $300 just for four spark plug wires alone and mine had brake problems that seemed never ending. I got rid of it and bought a 82? Camaro Pace car replica(came as a pace car replica from the factory) and that thing handled better around corners than the Porsche did lmao!

yea the 87 944 isnt too special but a 82 camaro doesnt handle better!!!!!!!!!! lol!!!!, even my 94 camaro cant compare and it will out handle a 82 305ci camaro ive driven one and oned a 84 firebird se with a 305. no offense but you cant drive if a camaro handles better the a 50/50 weighted car. i had brake issues too due to rusty calipers. and plug wires are alot cheaper now but i hear you, everything is overpriced for a slow azz car that just looks cool only because of the name. keep in mind mine was a auto!!! but man i could wip it around a corner, but not like my 4ws prelude but then again the 1988 honda prelude si 4ws (4 wheel steer)was road and tracks car of the year for 88 beating all other makes including porsche with a slalom speed of 65 plus mph. anyways i traded it last sunday after driving it less than a month for a 93 Yamaha FZR 600 crotch rocket and im happy with my trade
heres the bike, lol so jeep for porsche for a bike:P

Have you ever been in a 82 pace car? Just like I posted, I have owned both Porsches and Camaros and that pace car replica was awesome and could take corners better than any other car I have ever owned and that says alot. The car would not lean like normal cars would and hugged corners like a spider climbing a wall.

they have the same body and horrible weight distribution. and sweet suspension can only do so much. but no i havent driven a a 82 pace car they are kinda rare
Indypacecars.com - 1982 pace car, Chevy Camaro
sweet motor but its still a third gen. i know that it would have been faster than even a turbo 944 but it wouldnt corner better. im basing that of facts and personal experiance and just plain reality.
its just like a car that feels fast and then u track it and ir runs nothing but 15s 1/4 times. anyways so what happen to your pace car?
i just bought this 94 z28 last month, it has a lt1 so i have 300hp 330ft lbs or more since the cars chipped but i like how the 3rd gens look a bit more than my car

pace car
I hated that pace car, it wasn't stock and was rockin fast and I suspect someone did suspension mods before I bought it too. It didn't even have the original paint. I too hate those model years. The only years I like are 1981 and older and MAYBE the brand new ones...still on the fence for those lol.
I thought the third gen cars did not look anything like a Camaro should. The engine had none of the typical vacuum lines and smog crap that it should of came with. I ended up getting rid of it after I bought a 68 Camaro....the pace car was just ugly looking to me lol.....it was red, yellow and blue and not the grey and blue paint that I think they were supposed to come with. They made a little over 6,000 of them that year I think.
I gave up on cars because I wanted something that I could drive all the time and show off in and not get stuck in the snow lol.
That pace car weighed a measily 3,500lb and could scoot in the quarter mile around the high 11 sec range to low 12's.
Nice bike btw.

for snow i roll the jeep the np242 is god!! my prelude handles like a dream but it only has 134hp and i think 138 torque its alota fun but my camaro is nasty fast hence why i sold my 5.0 gt the lt1 makes 330 ft lbs and who knows if my hypertech chip bumps that up or not and i have the k&n handles like azzz if you romp on it its sideways fast and its a auto. i can do a 35mph roll, floor it and burn em and nearly wreck it everytime:P
the bike is nasty fast, i pulled a wheelie on accident in first gear:P
