Default New jeep daddy

Yes, I am a proud owner of a '97 GC Laredo 5.2 V8. Quadra 4x4 with tow package This is my first jeep. and She has a lot o' miles on her 2,
Engine is still going strong and looks like it will pass CA. smog laws. I have had the local Dodge/Jeep dealer look her over and inform me of what is to be fixed!

1: rear diff needs replacing, too much medal shavings and right axle bearing is bad
2: front CV boots one bad axle and spider gears.
3: transfer case leaks. were? not sure yet
4: power steering leaks.
5: possible cat and O2 sensors

My type of diving is mostly highway with mild off road nothing too sick,
and before I change axles and gears what should I get.

2"-2".5 lift; Cause the wife needs to drive it!

1:who makes a good lift?
2:which size tires for a 2 + inch lift?
3:gear ratio needed for new tire size?
4:a good place to order CV boots, axle shafts and necessary stuff

I know that I am a noob boob but I do have some mechanical skills and should be able to do most of this in my drive way. However Setting the load on the Pinon gears, I will need help.

Thank you all in advance for your kind input. Bob

PS I forgot to mention that I bought this jeep used for $1,600

1) Lots of good lifts out there. For what you're looking for it'll probably be best to find a spacer kit (Budget Boost). There are lots of good ones out there. Try:
-Kevin's Off Road
-Iron Rock Off Road
-Quadrateck

Or check around at your local shops. They shouldn't be to expensive.

2) Tire size: http://www.cherokeetalk.com/forum/f29/how-much-tire-will-fit-2326/

3)
Your gear ratio will be fine. It's a fairly small change and not worth regearing for.

4) Wrecking yards, or local auto parts stores. I'm assuming you'll be replacing with stock equivalent, so there's no need to go to the performance aftermarket for those items.

Hope that helps you out a bit.

Later.

Rubicon Express and Skyjacker also make good budget boosts. I've heard really good things about Old Man Emu lifts by ARB but they aren't as affordable as the other ones that he and I mentioned. I totally agree with the advice you had already been given. Good Luck with your new toy.
