The newbie Tiregods Zj Truggy build!
Hey everyone, Tiregod aka Travis!!,, I'm in the process of starting a Zj truggy build, I was just wondering if anyone has heard of someone doing such a build, and if you've seen any pics,, I have a few schematics i've designed, but am having a hard time deciding on what I want the over final project to look like!!
Im new here so once I figure out how to post pics, I'll do so!!

i would say go to pirate and do a search i bet you will find what you are looking for.

Yeah I spent about an hour at least on pirate last night checkin out different builds,, this guys turned that into more of a buggy,, which i have a chassis sittin here in my yard,, i was originally going to take the 5.2 and driveline and put it in my buggy, but decided to just chop up the grand,, I'm tryin to decide if i wanna keep it 4 passenger or chop it down to a 2 passsenger truggy??
WHat you peeps think 4door /2door

Yeah I'm still torn on what to do,, they both have there percs, the 4 seater will be nice if I'm takin peeps trail riding, the two seater for gettin into tight places,, I didnt get a chance to get crackin on the tear down today, got side tracked repairin my tj, lol
Once I start tearin down I should know what I have to work with and what to do!! Still cruisin designs!

unless it had its wheelbase shortened, the 2 dr XJs have the same wheelbase as the 4drs. that 2dr one in the pic should have the same as the 4dr on the hilift.

Thats a bud of mine standing there in the pic, his rig is the furthest in the pic. Go to Pirate4x4 and in the Cherokee section look for a build thread by Vetteboy. You might find alot of ideas you like...

Ok, well my plans have changed more times than I have changed my mind,, LOL,,
Looks like I've decided on a buggy truggy build, using one on my spare Zj powerplants, and driveline!! The rest is a NMRA chromoly caged truggy/buggy chassis i just picked up at the flea market this weekend!
AS it sits now this is what I'm gonna be running,
powerplant- 5.2L w/ a few mods
42RLE tranny
t-case - undecided, I have a 249 outta my DD grand, but I took that out for a reason, looking for another 242, or 231, that i will mod!
Axles- 60/60 currently have 4:10's, rear's locked, front fordtrac lok (approx 70-80% lockup)
rear disc brake conversion
17" Beadlock rims
39x13.50-17 BFG Krawlers
Custom long arm suspension
Chromoly Tube truggy chassis
I was gonna cage and chop my zj body, but came across an excellent deal on a mud drag racing tube chasis I couldn't pass up, so I guess my plans sorta changed!!
I'm still using the zj powerplant so if you wanna see pics let me know,, I'm just startin, so I have limited pics!!
