Default the old jeep bug bite

My daughter been driving around in a 04 caviler since she got her license. She drove my son's 96 XJ with a 4" lift and that bug bit. She's looking to go 2000 and up Grand Cherokee. What would be the cheapest way to go for lifting without to many suspension mods? She doesn't have a lot of money to put in to it right away. I was thinking no more than 3" of lift. Thoughts on this

good idea on the lift height- lower COG means safer and more stable offroad. it'll let you fit 32-33" meat as well. not sure if it works with the WJ bodies, but i know on the ZJ's people take ZJ front coils and put them in the rear, nets around 2.5 to 3 inches depending on engine. If you want to stay under 2 inches or so, you can use spacers- 1 3/4" spacers are all over Quadratec and similar sites for not a lot of money.

X2 Spacers are cheap. You could do 3" with springs and shocks.
