Default Why a Grand?

Just curious...for you Grand owners, why did you choose a Grand Cherokee over a Cherokee?

For me, one of the biggest items was the availability or option of a V8. Something I've missed during my S-10 years...And I really liked the exterior styling of the WJ's since they first came out...

How about you?

I chose the grand cuz I like the look of them. I did not know about the WJ till after I got my ZJ. Now I would like a WJ. I like the looks and options it has. And feels like more room in the grand that the cherokee. I chose a V8 for power.

My wife picked it out.. She really loved her Xj, but wanted more interior room. And the fact that she loves to drive faster than she should the V-8 was a bonus to her.

If I were to buy one it would be because of the nicer interior and the coil springs.

coil springs was a big factor. I wheel on the Silver Lake Sand Dunes here in MI, and a coil sprung ride is SOOO nice! lol

that and availability...i really love XJs, and plan to buy one eventually, but theyre hard to find in decent condition around here.

I wouldnt trade my ZJ in now though! I love it.

Mine is a DD so ride and comfortable interior was plus. But I also got the TC and motor combo I wanted. I also like the looks and when you lift them they sorta stand out.

We picked ours because of looks and price. I wanted something 4wheel do do some weekend trips, wasn't really expecting to lift. New friends really got us into the whole "wanting to mod the jeep" thing. It is a DD but probably turn into a trail rig over some time.....

Mine I was trading my YJ. Needed a rig to fit the whole family. And it was the offer that came up. Now after driving both I still Like XJ's but it's just easier to fit 3 kids in the back seat of a ZJ than a XJ. And if I can find one at a good price might look to pick up a WJ next year. I want more of a mild family wheeling rig. Than I'll also build my Extreme rig..
