Default Looking for new trails

Hello everyone, I have a 99 Cherokee sport with the glorious inline 6. It has a 4" lift on 31x10.50x15 tires. I do a little bit of trail riding when I can. I live in the western part of NC close to the TN line. I was wondering if anyone knew of any trails near me. My dad has a Nissan frontier and he's done a little bit to it and we ride together. Thanks.

You've got access to quite a bit out there. Unfortunately Tellico was closed off to OHV traffic back in 09 or 2010 or so. That was like a Meca of off roading on the east coast for a long time.

Cherokee Ntl Forrest, Chattahootche National Forrest, Nantahalla National Forrest and Pisgah National Forrest are pretty close to you, about halfway across the state of NC is Uwharrie which is a very popular area. I used to go there at least once a month back in the mid 2000s when I was stationed out in Jacksonville, NC.

Great thing about National Forrests besides Forrest service roads is the ability to disperse camp pretty much wherever you want. I miss having access to National Forrest land Unfortunately Texas has very little in the way of public lands.

Not sure how the National Forest thing works else where but don't get caught in a Vehicle in the Allegheny National Forest... there are old maps from the 60's that did show "Jeep trails". Those have been closed at least since the early 80's to my understanding. The fines are stiff and your vehicle will be confiscated if you are caught. Not tring to be a Debbie downer just make sure before you go.

Ok thanks guys. I've been on a few service roads and what not. I love to ride and pick nick and camp. I was just seeing if anyone knew of new places that I haven't been on. Hopefully one day soon we'll be going to Virginia and riding on some of those trails.
