Sorry fellas, I did this this summer. It was in another thread and I wanted it documented here.

Roof is like 50in or so, so it was a bit less, and each of the end plates are at a 70deg angle I believe. This was more of a test fit and tack kinda thing.

That looks like a really sturdy roof rack. What I only have is a removable type like this https://www.jeepsareus.com/sku/trab4547.html. Should I upgrade it? I am planning to install my mountain bike and other stuff I need?

A set of factory cross rails will allow you to mount some things, but a strong set of rails like Thule or Yakima will have their own accessories to allow bike mounts, etc. My rack is pretty strong now because I designed and built my own set of cross rails that mount the rain gutter, BUT before that, it was flimsy.
