History
She was originally dubbed 'Lola' by my friend's mother, who was the second owner of this XJ. She purchased it 2 years old with under 50K miles. I work on her farm from time to time, doing odd jobs when her husband was out of town working. (I know, right? Totally not what it sounds like.) After years of passing on my offers to purchase the Jeep, she let me drive Lola home when I buried my 94 Suburban in the back 40. Fuck highway tires. Fuck factory half tons. Fuck the Ford that couldn't pull out the Chevy. It wasn't my first taste of driving her (she was the "farm truck", after all), but I was instantly in love all over again. It wasn't but a few days later, she became mine. Sold the Suburban to fix her up a bit, and I have the XJ I've been drooling over for 7+ years.
