My friend just replaced the air filter and cleaned the carburetor and now the jeep won't start. The butterfly valve in the carburetor won't open and shut. It stays closed when pressing the gas?

Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Somehow the linkage broke/disengaged, inspect closely.

My J10 has a flawed choke as well, I use a small chuck of wood to
keep it in the open position, a small door stop works good as well.

When time permits, my flawed carb will be replaced with the Weber I bought for it 9 months ago....(manual choke)
