Hi guys I recently bought my first car in March ( the above) I got screwed over or rather screwed myself over because they sold it to me with steering damage and damage to the timing chain/guides/tensioner resulting in a knock like sound and reduced performance whenever the engine got up to temperature. I paid 2600$ to get it fixed. Bought the car at 4100$ and it's valued at 5900$

anyway the symptoms I thought were related are a rough/ low idle of 500 - 600 rpm and 12 mpg or is this completely normal and im just a noob jeep owner?

The 3.7L got notoriously bad milage for what it is. However, I think you can improve that by changing the O2 sensors. Sounds like the previous owners are the type to never change them
