I have a 2011 Grand Cherokee that the wiring between the drivers door and the body has started to fail (broken wires) and I was wondering if there was a wiring harness I can buy to replace it. My soldering is not the strongest and don't was a lot of splices in the wires. Any ideas, Thanks

u can replace the harness. it has a connector inside the door frame, the wire goes through a rubber boot and connects up at the door window switch. I don't know off hand, where you can buy a new harness. you may have to hit the junk yard. I did find this on ebay. but it seems kinda pricey. Jeep WK wiring harness - ebay

Hey Gluckmysock .... I have had an occasional broken wire in my driver's door harness too ( the one that turns off the alarm when you use the key in the lock seems to be the usual culprit).... Just wondering ( because I have not really looked into it)..... does the harness on the OTHER side.....the side that goes into the body..... have a plug connector? Or do the wires just go all over the place?

follow the harness through the rubber boot. some times the connector is in the rubber. or just behind then the kick panel on the left side of the foot well.
