Does anyone have any experience with this locker? Does it work good, or when you lift a wheel it just goes away? Needing to see if I want to use the factory locker in my 8.8 or buy a aftermarket one.

The factory ford is a LSD, BUT there is a clip you can buy for it that will make it locked like a spool. I'll have to see if I can find a link to the clips....

If its a LSD I would go ahead and lock it (preferably with a selectable)

Yea I meant LSD, might just get a spool. I don't want to be 100% locked anymore though. Selectable lockers are alittle out of my price range right now, with buying gear and paying to get them setup.

Then get an auto locker, will be open most of the time which will allow for better on road manners.

The term "Auto Locker" is not a fair term and is so far away from the truth. About the closest to one is the Detroit Soft Locker.

When it comes to lockers you have, Spool, lunch box, LSD, selectable and than just plan locker(Detroits)..

If cost is a issue I'd say just put a Spool in, ya it's all the time locked, but there isn't anything stronger.. Plus there very cheep....

Why not auto locker? It locks automatically, thus being out of your control. Seems like a good term to me.

IMO its a much better term then "lunch box" which means next to nothing to the majority of the people.

I guess we will disagree on this one, not saying they are true automatic lockers but auto locker is a much better term then lunch box to describe the locker. You may as well call them grass lockers.

If you're gonna go spool, go full spool and not mini-spool, since the LSD 8.8 is known to have a slight weakness in the carrier. The mini-spool can cause serious problems.
