I have a 91 Jeep Cherokee replaced everything in this thing including the motor the thing will not start on top dead center trade timing it 7/8 times it's right on time but it will not run unless you knock the distributor hold down clamp knock that tab off and turn the distributor and it will run but didn't miss us in about 10 seconds or so after running it will die and it will restart again

Yeah I did by the book it still wouldn't start until you busted that tab off the side of the distributor and turn the distributor one way and it'll it'll fire up and run it'll mess but you can start it but it will run about 15-20 seconds and then it'll just die but it will restart again you put the distributor on top dead center it will not start it'll it'll like pop and cough back to the throttle body I've changed all the sensors on it her brand new the motor has been changed and it still does this two computers program from two different outfits it's got spark fuel no I've done an annoyed light test it's got that everything is doing like it's supposed to sinking itself I'm just kind of wondering it's got two codes now for the alternator field circuits shortered or open and the auto shutdown relay circuit is opened or shorted is this either in the wiring harness or is it in a fuse problem
