they are selling me a 93 zj...v8....tranny is bad....it runs...(barely)...engine...needs some love too...its 4x4...he is asking 500$ could probaly get it for less....it has no ac..and who knows what else is wrong with it...but..mm..idk....what do you guys think?

i mean...im sure i could buy a book and parts and rebuild the tranny my self...

but how much is that gona cost me...

Trany rebuild your self about $150 to $300 Other than mechanical hows it look? And do you have the time or space to work on it?

yes and yes...just that i want something that "runs"....i mean my jeep..rocks and all i can drive it..but it sucks on gas millage..and stability...so..idk...i have to look into this...

im aiming for a toyota...anyway...

My son has a 318 in his truck and it is brutal on gas!

You could always offer the guy $400 for it and part it out for $600-$800 and make a few bucks on it

will, if you buy this is to fix it and have it STOCK bc then you will have the same trouble with the XJ,, but after your done with the XJ you can go modding that ZJ as a nice tow truck like you wanted,, but IDK (sorry if I sound like your dad, I know I probably do.. )

there isnt a lot of people paying 400$ for just anengine...specially a v8....

Not really....

My ZJ with the 5.2 and the AWD gets about 14 MPG.
My XJ with the 4.0 riding on 33" tires and all the working fun stuff gets about 15MPG
