Please start to explan the mechanical changes I will need to consider when installing this 1997 zj 4.0 engine in my 1995 4.0 yj. Or rather what will not convert to obd1? Is water pump a concern?

Unless you want a giant electrical headache, change the intake manifold with all sensors, temp sensor and oil pressure sensor over to the new engine. Then change the water pump too

Thank you, So for a smother swap the block alone is what's usable. Isn't the compression ratio different?
