I've been trying to figure out my new mig welder the past few days. I have a question.

In the manual it says to make the ground + when using fluxcore wire, and make the ground - when using gas. I'm not a "pro" welder and although I've read about why you reverse polarity using a TIG welder, I still don't fully understand it using a MIG welder.

Anyone here that can explain it, and should I actually have the ground + when using fluxcore?:dunno:

When you put the + on the ground it pulls the metal from the wire to the metal your working with allowing the flux to form in top (slag)and slow the cooling down and keep the air off it.
