Hello -
Picked up a 1993 XJ - 4.0L/5-speed manual in May with 290K miles on it. It had been sitting along side a neighborhood road for months and my son put a note on window asking if they wanted to sell. We bought it for $3,200 primarily for the 2.5" lift, new 31-inch Bridgestone ATs, rims, and full suspension upgrade underneath.
This was a summer project before my son heads to college in August. We grinded it down, put an acid etched primer on it and had it Raptor coated. We just returned from Southern Utah where it tackled Sand Hollow, the West Rim Trail, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, and more. This was a test of reliability of the XJ from Las Vegas to Hurricane, UT during summer, and off-roading in 95+ degree temps in sand. Never went above 200, and it climbed rock ledges/trails like a mountain goat.
