ok I have a big cash for parts dilema,

Ive been talking with Jason from JO for a set of OME 2.5" leafs, with bushings, shipped to my door. so the leafs are 111.50 each.. so about 240 both of them, and IDK the bushings and well shipping is 180 .. so in total Im guessing is a $450 hit.. so my question is..

should I spend all that money on rear leafs? IDK what surprises my XJ might come up with, IDK any mechanical issues it may have that I would need the money for,, so IDK if I should buy them, or just buy some $60 leaf booster or helper so my leafs arent flat.. and save up for a bastard pack or find some one. selling a pair...

let me know guys what to doo, bc im very impulsive and might end up buying this and then regreting it later when I have a big mechanical issue..
:confused::confused::confused:

forget those.

250 for leafs with bushings? Doesnt sound too bad to me.

Also if you win this membership referral contest you will have to pay that much less:cheers:
that does not sound bad to me either but add that to 180 of shipping, that becomes 430 for all
Sounds to me like you need to win that contest:thumbsup:
yeah but I know stryker is way ahead... so im loosing hope on that, that I know of I got at least about 3 or 4 people,
There is still a week left in the competition, spread the word a bit more and you will be right with him.
Or you could refer people for belto, thats an easy 50$ for him right there.
thanx guys, for all, Im probably going to try and make a bastard pack... with an s10 pack, so how many of the s10 leafs will I need to get 2.5"" or I dont mind 3"" I like the rear a lil higher than the front..
Its a process, a lot of mixing and matching is involved. Some people just put the main leaf in and it gets them over 2" and others use 4 leafs to accomplish that. Depends on the condition of both packs.
well my pack stock had the high mention of 17.5"from center cap,, so before the shackles it was fine... so IDK...
:) Well now with the shackles I would probably guess that your packs have flattened a bit.
yes they are flat as you can see on my build thread, there is a pic of the rear from a low angle and you can see perfectly the flat leafs..

edit: dude you catch up on post,, damn, I most be lacking off... damn
So you are probably going to need to mix two or three leafs into your current pack to get the desired height.
okok so Isnt it then better to get an AAL then? instead of experimenting with old leaf...
AAL's are generally weak and will sag with the old pack in a matter of months (especially if your old pack is flat.)
but my old pack was not flat before the shackles.. so if I take off the shackles and put some AAL will it be ok? something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep...727|39:1|65:12|240:1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245
If your old pack is flat then it is flat, it wont reshape itself because you removed the shackles.
