Thanks guys and gal. I am going to make it better today with a front locker. Looking forward to more action at Fordyce Creek this year. We are planning on a quick side trip to the Rubicon if things work out as planned
Your on. Plan on Aug 1-5. We will be getting a group together. Got a friend coming from New Zealand and possibly one from Texas. One or two from Cherokeetech and possibly one from XJTalk so far as well as my son in his Mighty Mite. We will pack as much in as we can. Doing the Rubi on Aug 2. Baltimore trail Aug 3. A couple of trails at South Tahoe Aug 4 or Barrett Lake if people prefer and Eagle Lakes Rd and some of Fordyce Trail Aug 5 with a finish going through North Bloomfield (real ghost town) with a stop in Grass Valley at the Owl Tavern complete with a real old west bar and huge mirror for dinner. The only one holding you back is you on this. By the way, this is a family oriented coed tripI wanna wheel the rubicon!
Well what can I say? It started out a Chevy with a 2.8L. Might as well finish Chevycongrats on the win 4.3L Xj I voted jeep not chevy, so you didnt get my vote. wouldnt it have been easier to just buy a blazer? lol
Yup, I understand. One reason we moved it up two weeks is because of school schedules. Normally we go on the third weekend because the Sierra Trek is the week before and everyone goes to that and leaves the area pretty much to us the next week. We would love to have you with us. I will be posting in July announcing the trip and schedule. We will have a mix of rigs I think, so we will make the schedule of places to go dependent on that. But I think the Rubi and Baltimore trail are fixed. The Rubi has enough bypasses that a stock rig can make it. I haven't been to the end of the Baltimore trail, but what I have been on can be done with a stock rig if you drive smart.Really depends on how much work I can get done between now and then on my jeep. Also school is a factor might be starting August but its definitely on the list of to do with my jeep![]()
