I was rasied on R&B and that slowly grew into me listen to Hip Hop and then around my sophmore year of high school I started listening to Rock and that grew to heavy metal.I started listening to Country less than a year ago due to a ex-girlfriend because that is her favorite and now I can't get enough of it,there is a [country]song for every emotion or every mood that your in at any time...

How about you guys,Who listens to country?

I listen mostly to Country, actually other formats aren't easy to find around here. I think there is 1 Rock station and 1 Classic rock station in the general vicinity, the rest are Country or Gospel.

I still listen to majority Metal and Rock but Country is my second choice for sure!

It's gotta be pre-Garth Brooks. Everything after that is horrible. Especially this modern, alternative, boy band pop country crap (ie Rascal Flats).

Garth and Travis Tritt from the early 90s are as new as I go, but I'd much rather have some Johnny, Merle, Waylon or George. Or take me back as far as Hank, Woody, or Ralph.

BUT, I'm more of a punk/metal/hardcore/techno/folk/soul/blues kinda guy.

I listen to a bit of everything, but mainly country. I ran some where that if you like 70's rock you'll love modern country cause there so close.

And the fact that Country tells it how it is and can put your moods in a tune is great too....

Theres alot of truth to this statement. I'm new to Country, bud was trying to convert me for years now. He finally succeded by hooking me with Travis Tritt.

I find it very similar to 70's rock.

Rofl, yeah...I remember playing that song in his Jeep when we had only been dating a couple months. He didn't quite know what to say, just kind of looked at me with his eyebrows raised. Who knows, maybe that's why he has stuck around....for the protection of his Jeep :rofl:
