i have a 95 jeep grand cherokee laredo strait 6 automatic. i have to change the cps. how and what is the easyest way to do that with out taring everyhing apart.
i have takin one out of a jeep before but the top of the motor was apart.
i know that there is a paper spacer that i need to put on the sensor before i put it in is this paper spacer inportant, do i need it in order to install the cps.
i am just looking for an easy way to replace it. something that is not gonna take all day to install. thank you guys

On the V8 the CrankShaft Pos. Sensor is located behind the starter, but it's a simple re & re (assuming it's not seized of coarse). Not sure about the location on the 6cyl, but it should just be a simple re & re as well...oh, and Yes! the spacer is important! So use it or you'll be replacing it again sooner then later.

is it the easyist to go at it from underneeth. i notice either way you go at it the 4wd cable (i think) is in the way.

x3... get about 3 feet worth of extensions, a 10mm wobbly and an air ratchet..
changed many of these... takes longer to plug it in then it does to change the unit..
