Anyone here ever replaced the pinion seal on their HP D30? mine leaks like a sive and i was wondering whats involved in replacing it.Also wondering if the blade on my electric fan can be replaced separetly from the motor.
The pinion seal can be replaced just like any other. Remove the yoke, pry it out and tap the new one in evenly without deforming it. A large 3/4" drive socket works well. Then replace the pinion yoke. Make sure the seal surface on the yoke is smooth and free of dirt.
