Rewiring all the connections to the battery with a Stinger distribution block. I had to go with a car audio unit cuz the automotive world makes nothing like this, sad.
So I'll have:
Winch- alone on the side post
Two 0awg cables off the top post- one for the stereo, one for the dist. block
Dist. block will have four 4awg cables.
I'm pretty sure my issue is in the power cable I ran to the starter last summer. It was just a cheap Walmart one so it's not a big deal the replace it.

I know what you mean. I had to build my own.

I can only figure that the rough section of road I went down prior to the issue was the cause. Everything is stationary to the body except the starter cable and the engine block grounds. Does it sound like I'm headed in the right direction?

Tests and hopefully a solution is happening tomorrow. Got a day free of the 3yr old. If it gets solved for free I'm gonna celebrate by spending my repair budget on new cymbals😁

I've managed to reassure myself regarding any money wasted throughout this fiasco.
The ignition switch was getting sloppy, nice and tight now. $43
The starter has been in there for a long time. Plus I now have a lifetime warranty on that. $75
And the rewire was something I'd been wanting to do for a while now. $35

Thanks bud, I'm very happy with the improvement. Even my power windows roll up faster.

All's well... I ordered drum gear. Being just as ocd with the drum set as I am with the Jeep, I spared no expense to acquire this piece. 1st gen Iron Cobra 2 leg hi-hat, to match my 1st gen IC double bass pedal.<img src="http://www.cherokeetalk.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" />

:badgerslayer:

Buying music gear is always as dangerous and fun and rewarding as buying jeep gear.

Funny you'd put that badger there. That was my high schools mascot where I learned to play.

So a plan just formed in my mind. As of lately I've been very frustrated with wiring issues. The fix is coming in the form of a black carpet kit I've been wanting. Seats out, carpet out, and all wiring will be properly routed and secured.
The latest issue involves the subwoofer wiring grounding out somewhere. Thanks to the breaker switch on the 0awg cable I am still able to use the stereo. But what good is a perk if it ain't functional!?

I got a new idea! I may have mentioned it in the past but... I'm gonna chop the whole gas door section from a jy Jeeps 1/4 panel and weld it into the ps of mine. This will be my air port station for the oba. The hoopla from the welds will get covered by the Rusty's steel flares and both gas doors will get a dp cover plate.

Just a thought, a JK gas door would also work. JM 02 WJ did this for his power port, 110vac in and out and 12vdc in and out along with a solar panel hook up. He has an inverter and battery bank for a refrigerator and such.

That's a thought but, I'm trying to stay away from having a laughable mutt. No crossing breeds!!😆
And I'd want both sides to match.

Jeep is running fine so far, so I've still been dumping money into my drum set. New cymbal mounts for the rack, and now new cymbals on their way.
I have been thinking of ways to enclose my trailer for the sake of drum transport, while maintaining full usability. I may be buying dp truck boxes for my gear instead of what the music industry provides for options.

Finally got my taxes, but just wasn't feeling an itch to spend it on the Jeep this year. Carpet, more black vinyl to do the hood, ds mirror... all little stuff I can do throughout the year.
