in order to lose weight effectively, you need to burn calories or restrict your diet. every body is different and responds differently. my diet for losing weight when im lifting is one cup of rice or oatmeal and a portion of chicken 6 times a day. when i get bored of chicken i use protein or egg whites.

watch your calories and try to stick under 1200 a day.

the main way to lose is cardio. bike for 30 min, or treadmill. increase intensity every 3 minutes of rthat 30 and you will be sweating at the end. it works.

Pick up a copy of "What to eat & What not to eat" by Men's Health,it gives the healthiest choices for most major fastfood chains and gives you healthier choices when at the grocery store.Anybody that just wants to watch what the eat oppose to a "diet",I would definitly get the book!

I have dropped over 25 pounds and 2 belt sizes this year by making a couple of minor changes. #1 Cut out the soft drinks. I used to drink Two a day, 1 at each meal. I now either have a diet soda or water. #2 Cut back on the carbs, Bread and Potatos mainly. I try to walk a little more at work than I used too but I don't do much in the way of cardio.

I try to eat pretty healthy----chicken, low/no fat whenever possible, salads, lotsa veggies, almost never fried, etc. etc. I guess I'm at a healthy weight (I'm 5'6" and weigh around 132).

I do agree with XJL...I try eating healthy for the most part, but every now and again ya gotta just let yourself enjoy a hot fudge sundae :)
