In a sense, yes. You should also replace the center pin, a new one usually comes in the kit.

With some kits such as the Spartan, yes you get a new cross pin. But with others like LOKKA, you don't. Some argue that the new pin is an alloy pin. Truth is everything accept the cast housing is some kind of alloy. To me having or not having a new pin is not a deal breaker
