Was admittedly a little giddy when my wife got her Prius stuck in the snow (wasn't that hard to do) giving me an excuse to go buy a tow strap and make my first successful rescue with the jeep. Hey we all gotta start with baby steps right?Sorry no pics... Wasn't that interesting though. DJM!

I know!!! I totally meant to take pics too but just forgot. Oh well - it's a Prius, May as well have been a stick.

CherokeeTalk stickers? The powers that be had a huge stack made up for paying memberships, COTM winners, and for sale on the Autoguide store. I actually witnessed these stickers, and a few managed to receive one or two. They have now totally and completely disappeared from the face of the earth, with absolutely no trace of ever being in existence. The admins are quite aware of this because i remind them several times weekly! They say they're "working on it". I can't seem to wrap my head around all this... - Rant Off djm

Dang, I was all prepared to enter stock COTM in May, but if there's no sticker involved ... I don't know.... Hmmmm...might just have to buy a membership instead. Oh wait that still won't get me a sticker if there's no stickers ....

Since I have purchased my xj I find myself using all my spare time ( meaning free time and time I should be doing other things and don't feel like it) either checking Cherokee talk for new stuff to read or watching xj videos on YouTube djm

I will never be really good at one thing. My focus, or lack thereof, won't allow it. I have always been envious of people that are so in love with one thing in life, that they become an expert in/at it. I can't do it, there's too many things I want to see and experience in my life. To those of you that do have that focus, kudos to you from the other side of the tracks. DJM :cheers:

I am with you! It Troubled me for many years -feeling like I was never good enough - until I realized how to use it to my advantage and now I count it as a skill set. I like to know enough about how a system works to be able to do moderate difficulty tasks, or be clever enough to figure it out, or talented enough to make it look like I'm an expert - it's what makes me a good bass player and producer in a band, a good project manager at work, home remodeler, etc. and of course in the process if adding jeep tinkerer to that list.
But yeah - don't ask me to specialize in something so deeply that it's the only thing I do, to the detriment of other experiences. I respect that deeply, and I am driven by detail, but I am not a specialist.

Ha - trick is to do all that while still being honest and genuine. Figure that out and you've got it covered!
