Emailed the wife this morning to check on her (just kidding, checked in on the jeep she has been using for the snowy commute the last couple days)...

"Haha, she and I are just fine, but geez you can almost see the fuel gauge moving closer and closer to empty….with the car, I can usually go down island and back and MAYBE lose one bar."

I know the feeling. Seems like anytime you getting in it, the gauge immediately falls. But what should I expect at 10mpg

Will surely be interesting. No more than I drive 10 mpg is fine with me. If it were a dd it would stink.

I live on base so my work is only about 3 miles away so it doesn't really bother me either. I've daily driven it for almost 2 years with 4.56 gears and 35s.

No. Just the opposite. Went wheeling yesterday, and there were 3 4 runners with the group. A lifted one on 35s, and 2 stock ones. We were held up for half an hour because the 4 runners couldn't make it down the same trail we went down. One even had to be left at the top of an obstacle because it broke down. I understand some people aren't as experienced as others, therefore slowing everyone down, but it just so happened to be the 4runners that couldn't make it. Nothing against anyone on here, you know who you are, but they just rubbed me the wrong way

Must've been some inexperienced drivers for sure. No reason a 4runner can't follow a XJ. It's only slightly bigger and a few pounds heavier. Sad to see them make the Runner's look bad.

H3 adventure is a pretty badass rig. The last year or 2 they made them they had 4.56 gears, e-lockers, and I think a 4 to 1 transfer case.
