Well, my grandfather bought me some V TECH 5/100 oil additive and I have never heard of it. Has anyone else heard of it, used it, liked it, hated it? I tried googling it and nothing showed up. :dunno: So any info on the stuff would help.

Thanks

Might try these guys......

There are some knowledgeable people there on oils and additives.

Some are good, some not so good.
I used to use that "Lucas" oil fortifier in my Bronco 2.
8 months later my engine needed rebuilt.
I cant blame Lucas, but after reading the BITOG testing and findings, it makes me wonder.

Seems in the BITOG tests the Lucas additive tended to make certain oils "foam up".
And as we know where there is foam there is air.
And we want oil lubing our bearing, NOT air.

It was enough that i havent used the Lucas since. Better safe than sorry.
Besides, most modern oils are so good these days, they really dont need any additives.
I'd find a good oil (like Pennzoil Platinum) and stick with it.
