Decided to take the Jeep for a spin and hit my P.O. Box while I was out.
I don't have a fancy phone but when I saw this I had to go back to the house and grab my camera.
I live just around the corner anyway.
The ladies from the local gardening club do this all over town. I used to see them when I was still delivering for the store.
I am guessing this is their doing.
Nice to know that some people still have a sense of humor with all that is going on. LOL.

Went to the supermarket today.
Just to pick up some fruits and vegetables.
Not one of the big chain stores but an IGA one.
Anyway, there was a girl with an IR thermometer taking the temperature
of everybody that walked in.
97.6 F. LOL.

Bump. Not much changing here other than more people going out to parks, etc since the weather got better.

Bars still closed, work told people to stay remote until the end of May, several of my tractor shows have been cancelled and they were at the end of June, one in the middle of July.

We were just approved this week for some of my staff to report to the office 2-3 days a week. Because they all do different stuff, none of them will be in the office together. Some work out in the field, (checking roads) So social distancing at its finest. Lots of COVID-19 safety protocol in place.

It no like 130*+. We are going to start the first phase of reopening tomorrow. I've been business as usual the whole time. Just more PPE than normal. Been to hospitals working on their elevators. Had a call on one of their covid cars . Definitely a little freaked out and a challange to troubleshoot while your mind is racing about it . I did get a couple of projects done. Built a foundation for my greenhouse and a potting bench. I raised the beds and I'm now in the process of filling the beds. Been working on this p.o.s. blue tractor and still chipping away at the Commanders front end (just got the right parts after a month). Wife ain't happy with me though, been hanging with some hot chicks in the garage....lol

Yeah it was definitely like 115-120 in the attic. Just because I make it look easy it's not easy to diy install on your ac. Then they call me ask why it's not working right. They didn't evacuate the system so not going to work right and they used plumbing solider instead of silver

Steady as she goes. I've been in CO now for about a month with a short week in hot as hell Sedona.

The local job market is drying up for the town has cancelled ALL of the festivals here in town as of yesterday. We had things scheduled through October, and now zip, nada, niente. Luckily, the weekly covid money with unemployment is keeping me afloat as well as some dough I managed to save up before leaving. I'm good for at least another three months. I have been interviewing for a maintenence job at a local hotel. We will see.

As for the tour-ons, town has been holding back on allowing people to make reservations until at least mid-august. However, the tourists have been driving up daily and have been flooding the national forest here locally. All NFS camping grounds are full everyday of the week, and the backcountry is crowded. I can't imagine how bad it would be if this was more of a deadlier thing or if there was an economic crash or some other apocalyptic scenario. If it was, I think I would be more worried about the socialist/commie bastards that run the town council here.

We are prepared for the worst and are ready if this keeps going south. I expect it to keep getting worse until at least the November Election. I expect it to keep going afterwards. They don't like a populist/nationalist in the WH.

How are things in Iowa? PA? Florida?(gotta love those fake numbers!) Nor Cal? AZ? TX?

I'm trying to avoid a political discussion because I've gotten in trouble on here before for that, but I will say that many if not all of my thoughts on Covid are political. I'm the a**[email protected]#$ in the store with no mask and I won't apologize (but I don't argue or throw a fit at the store like others lol). I agree that after a certain date in early November things will either escalate or calm down some. I would suggest you all turn off your TV but that's my opinion. My sister "knows" more scary facts about Covid than the average American and I think its because shes watching too much news. I know people who have had it and I know people who have "had" it. The difference being some were sick and most were not, but the tests all showed the same results. I'm still working without issue and still going to bars/events. Things are constantly being cancelled but some events are refusing to, which I'm personally ok with. An example would be a small concert at a local dive bar. Tables were spaced, but that was it. No one who goes out to events or places is wearing a mask or worried about the virus. We wash our hands and don't sneeze on each other. Handshakes are minimal but not gone. I am tending to lean towards the conspiracy side of things and I know that's not everyone's cup of tea (or maybe they just don't want to talk about it). I have a vacation with my family in Ohio this month and it will be very difficult to get along with them as my thoughts and theirs are very different (Im expecting at least one fight, how sad is that?). I'm not sure why they even want me there when they see me as the largest risk of the family members. We were going to go out west but cancelled because of the "second wave" and risk of parks/campgrounds closing. But all the campgrounds we looked at were booked solid in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.

Most businesses here are open now, depending on what they are they may be limited or fully open. I'm keeping an eye on the local university but they are going to have open campus again with ppe restrictions. (Thankful Im done with college because I wouldn't wear ppe in a lecture hall, I was busy sleeping anyways.)

Life for me is a new norm. I work from home 3 days a week and in the office 2days a week. Being a state employee, we are required to wear a mask in the office when within 6' of another employee. My office is fairly large and has a door. Most offices are cubicles. If it wasn't for our building burning down last year, I would probably be in a cubicle. Our building is a rental. I wear a mask anytime I'm in a public place, such as local store or gas station. I don't like Wal-Mart but I'm stuck with going there on occasion. I always wear a mask there. Have you seen the people the go there? OMG!
I don't go out or do much, other than work on my vehicles and do home maintenance. I've went to my buddies who has the 56 Ford a couple times. But he is retired and doesn't want to risk having a lot of visitors. I'm special though! 😎
I watch very little tv news. Get my updates from YouTube. Watch movies on Netflix. Just sit on the couch enjoy the AC and veg.
