So I replaced my flex plate because my starter would not engage, come to find out that it was completely cracked all the way around the 6 bolts and only held on by the ~'washer'~ around them. So everything went smooth up until I went to start it and now it wont rev past 2000.. I replaced the CPS and everything else was good before I did this. Is it possible I installed the flex plate wrong and the CPS is getting the wrong reading?

I talked to a transmission shop they said the flex plate only goes on one way, like I thought.
My CPS is reading the right volts and ohms
I have the right fuel pressure
Spark plugs are good
New fuel filter
No catalytic converter
What the heck is the problem!
(Will not rev past 1900-2000 rpm)

The only thing I can think of is the throttle position sensor, and how long since your O2 sensor was changed?

can you put an OBD scanner on it and monitor the tps? just to see if it is reading the full sweep.

I have never done it, but you need to hook it up to 5V and monitor voltage as you cycle the throttle
