My gf's cousin lives in Florida. He tried to convince me to bring my xj down there and visit and also go wheeling. I know that land is mostly just mud bogs and stuff so I declined the offer cuz I ain't much for sinking my jeep in 4-6 feet of water.

BS! As a former Wrangler owner, and a member of the South Florida Jeep Club I have to call BS on this post. The club consists of mainly Wranglers, yes, but that is the majority of 4x4s that are modified. So of course there are going to be many TJs in the Club. I know several that have Wagoneers, Cherokees, Liberties, etc... Many are very capable rigs.

As for Posers driving on the beach, again BS. Number one, you've never been in the club, so don't judge people until you've met and participated. If you had half a brain you would know that you are not allowed to drive on the beaches in South Florida. Second, there are several places to offroad in South Florida. If you were a member of the SFJC, and not being a douche, you might actually learn about some of these places.

Also, if you were resourceful, you would see that there are other Jeep Clubs down here. Yes, SFJC is the the biggest, but there are others.

You say the majority of the people in the club are dead. Again, you aren't in the club, so you don't know. There is alot of experience in the club, I myself am 29, I don't exactly concider that dead. I don't know how old you are, but I think you need to do a recheck on that statement. Besides, if you are looking for a place to wheel, and decide to go on your own and get stuck. It's these dead people that will most likely be the kind "old person" that will bail your a$$ out.

I apologize for the rip, but I don't take kindly to those that talk crap about stuff they know nothing about.

not to back anyone up but ive lived here in port st lucie 8 years, theirs a club up here called treasure coast jeep club, they are family orientated, wanted money from me to be part of their group, it was retarded. as to places to ride tell me somewhere i can go because down in the glades u cant ride, corbit hunting area u need atleast 66 in tires just to make it.. out in Okeechobee if you dont have a deed you cant ride their neither.. and as for the beach im pretty sure he knows u cant drive on the beach...it was rude to say that the club was a bunch of posers but if u dont have their term of a rig or as good as theirs they rag on you...im only 20 and they look at me like i dont know a f**king thing about jeeps. and honestly im not goin to pay anyone a penny to put a sticker on my jeep... and if you do have friends they can pull u out...rule of thumb dont play by urself

Alright dude, you are intitled to your opinion but I was going off of what some one i met that was in the club told me. I wont mention his name but he had a very clean looking wrangler, he told me that he didnt do much in the club but just show up the events n show off his jeep and that there was stuff to do and you all did have a good time but that he just didnt find alot to do with his rig. Now yes that is his opinion and am sorry to base my post on that.

And about that beach thing, that was based on actual pictures that i looked at on the official South Florida Jeep Club website...so again sorry to base that post on that finding.

And to me being a douche?..you are quite wrong as I was being a bit sarcastic, and am sorry you didnt catch that.

And lastly about the part of "the average age here is dead" is by far (and clearly) a sarcastic not true statement and was mainly ment to refer to south florida as the waiting room to heaven, which it mainly is, especially around this time of the year when all the snow birds head down south for the winter...and you cant call BS on that cuz everyone in florida knows thats true. Now yes there is quite an upgrowth in the minority population but it is still known for its elderly population taking a strong hold down here. So again, I am sory to base my post upon this and am truly sorry to offend you, as that was not my intention when posting this thread.

I agree that in some clubs ive heard from that they are a bit judgmental but about paying them, I do agree that you should pay a fee (albeit a fair fee) to join the club to be fair about receiving all the perks of being a member as most things dont come free. And agian about the beach, there actually a few places you can drive on the beach, (daytona) but by drive they mean 5mph and staying within the cones). And yes I am lucky to have a girlfriend who's dad owns property at Indian Hammock in Okeechobee so I can wheel on the few occasions when a few of us(mine and her family) decide to make the 2 n a half hour trip up there, but other than that I have not found or heard of any other spot worth the drive.

lol yea, Im a valet at retirement condominium in East Boca Raton on the intercoastal and during the off season summer months its like a morgue here(pun intended). But once it hits november and everyone starts coming down (especially after thanksgiving) and all 163 units get filled with ollddddd people. Everyday I see 85+ men and women getting into their 80k-450k vehicles with the help of aids and having their walkers and canes put into their backseats and trunks and taking 45seconds to 2 minutes(no exaggeration) to get into their cars from the time i open the door to the time the sit and put on their seat belts...and sometimes I even have to put their seat belts on... lmao
