Im pretty sure you can do it. If I had a wiring diagram I could figure it out.

There is a way.... assuming they are run on a relay.

You can power the relay with the same wire that powers the running lights. that way when the running lights are on you can have the foglights on too.


Thats what i did on my car.

I have it done on my 01 XJ.

But heres what to do.
Open the hood and find the central junction (fuse box) under the hood.



Take off the lid, it will be marked on the inside what relay goes where. Find fog light 1 and remove the relay.




Once you pull the realy find terminal 1 and remove the terminal, I used a small pair of needle nose pliers and kept bending it back and forth till it snapped.


Reinstall the realy. Fog lights should now work on dim or brights. The relay picture sucks sorry.

That's what I had to do on my 05 Rubicon but my 89 is totally different than the Rubicon was.That's what im wanting to do with this one but not sure if I can make it work
