Do you believe there are ghosts? I am a "see to believe" type of guy and I never saw anything worthy of proof when i was growing up so i never believed in them. I heard people tell me stories about their experiences but never really took interest in them and most of the time just dismissed them. All this changed in 2004.
My gf's father, who has severe mental issues from drug use growing up, murdered his sister and her husband when they came to visit from florida. It was all over a dispute on selling his house. He still lived with his mother and father because of his mental illness and they were too old to be walking up and down two flights of stairs but he disagreed and took matters into his own hands. Out came the shotgun. My gf lost her aunt, and uncle, and dad went to jail. I was one of the few to first enter the house after the incident, not counting the ambulance crew and swat team. It was like out of the movies, blood everywhere. When i first stepped into the room where it happened, it got really chilly, i mean chilly to the point where some of us were shivering. I don't know if it was "fear" of being in that environment or actually a spirit lurking around, but i do know it was COLD. No one said anything and neither did I. A week or so later we had to go get some of her grandparent's belongings because they were staying in a nursing home for now until all the mess was cleaned up in the house. When we got there, there was an eerily feeling inside the house. You could literally sense sadness. I avoided the living room, where it happened, as much as possible because it was quite a mess with the blood soaked floor. We did some cleaning elsewhere in the house and gathered some stuff and placed it in a duffel bag. Her grandparents wanted to go out to eat because they were hungry (i do not know how they became hungry after being in that house) so we left to go eat and would come back and finish up afterwards. Well when we returned, all the lights were on. We turned them all off before we left. Doors were still locked. I thought someone broke in or something but no sign of a break in. That got me spooked and my gf was scared shi$less. The grandparents didn't "notice" what was going on. They were still in shock from what happened. We went in and discovered that the bag we packed full of clothes was unpacked, but in a neat manner. At that moment, i told cerr that's the last time i was going in that house and it was (until two days ago). After the house was cleaned, the grandparents moved back in. When my gf went to visit them, she would notice her grandmother in shock sometimes. One time she was telling her how something grabbed her foot when she got out of bed. She had a bruise on her leg, just above the ankle. They also complained of the living room being very cold, even with the heaters working fine and all the other rooms warm. They have since moved out to a nursing home and the house is currently for sale. It's been for sale for nearly three years now, and price keeps dropping but no buyers. I think most people know the history of the house and are avoiding it, pretty much like me.
I just went in there two days ago to get some furniture (reason for u-haul thread). It was no longer cold in there, but i could not keep my focus on the task of getting the furniture out of there. My mind would keep telling me to watch the living room but i avoided that area completely. I felt so much better once we were done. Just creepy creepy stuff.
I don't know if what we experienced was actually a ghost(s) or not but it seemed to be beyond an explanation. I hope i never have to experience something like that again.
Well that's my experience with it, the one and only. I'm still waiting to see an actual ghost or maybe have one teach me how to make pottery. What about you guys?
