I just got a deal on a grille guard for my 98 Cherokee Sport - but it didn't come with any mounting brackets, and the spacing is off for the frame. The bolt holes on the guard are 36 inches apart, but I don't know where to get any spacers or brackets to adapt the guard to the frame. The guard fits perfectly, but there's nowhere to bolt it onto. Any help would be appreciated.

Not without some kind of spacer... Looks like I need about a 1/4" thick, 3" wide, 4"x4" piece of angle iron. Might be able to use something thinner - sure don't want to have to cut through something that thick. The problem is that I don't know the manufacturer.... the mounting brackets on the guard are about 1 1/2" too wide for the frame, but the exterior of the guard and the headlight covers fit perfectly. Just nothing to bolt it onto.
