how heavy is the xj?

That's max gross... Curb weight is in the area of 3200-3400 I think. But I'm not completely sure - I have the exact numbers for some comanches, but never bothered to find one for a cherokee.

It might be as low as 2900 for a stripper model.

Curb Weight 2wd = 2,891-2,993 lbs.
Curb Weight 4wd = 3,057-3,386 lbs.

Well you also need to account for your cargo inside the jeep and the weight of the trailer.

I weighed mine loaded with camping gear and 3/4 tank of fuel and it came in at just shy of 3700 lbs. That includes winch, heavier tires, full size spare, winch bar, spare parts, recovery gear etc.

So remove driver - 3500 pounds loaded.

i wasnt sure about it becuase i was almost sure for some reason that the xj was 5200 pounds...but now that i know it isnt then..im going for it...

and yeah belto! xj for the brother! hehehe...

probaly im going to drive it until i get the fj..since is stock is better mpg for me..and he will drive the elephant around since he doesnt drive more than 20 miles a week

im getting an used one anyway...30k is still a lot for me...18k sounds much better and by next year..they should be close to 15 k...so im good :thumbsup:
