Nice. I wish i could do that. Is it legal over there? We cannot self-tint or tint the front door windows. They have to be done from the factory or professionally done.
Looks good man...

I realize that PA is the state full of car Nazis. But how do they tell the difference between the two???

Wow that's a lot of money. Tint it yourself. Even if you have to do it twice it will be 5 times cheaper than having someone else do it.

You just need a safety razor, a spray bottle with water and a couple of drops of dish washing detergent. You'll need a small squeegee. I got mine from the window tint years ago.

Spray the film and the window and place it on the window.
Do a ruff cut making sure you leave a good 1/2 to 1 inch of extra all the way around.
Spray the film and window again.
Make sure everything is lined up and do a close cut.
NOW peal the plastic covering off the tint exposing the sticky side.
Spray the window and stick side of the film.
Place it on the window. It will float on the soapy water.
Line it up, trim again for final fit.
Now spray the non sticky side of the film and squeegee it smooth.
Press out the bubbles.
Any left you can poke a small whole in press down.

My XJ had factory tint with the exception of the driver's and passenger side windows. I tinted those a few years back. I messed up the driver's side since I didn't get the tint positioned all the way down to the bottom of the window. We're talking about 1/16 of an inch, if that, but I noticed it. I'll redo it someday, lol.

You can get it done for $10 a window around here.

$10 is worth not having to mess with it.
well guys im back, thanx for all the complements. ok, about the legality of it.. in PR 35% is the most dark you can go, but I went 20% IDcare, also about the time it took, well it was about 45 mins afeter about an hour of practice bc this was my first time tinting anything, also, total cost is for me $0 bc a friend gave me the film but you can buy the film for about 7 to 8 bucks at Autozone... so that would be the cost,,

again thanx
I just did the vent visors myself they look really cool. My next project is the window tint.....What is legal in PA?

Your best bet is to do a search online for your local laws because it varies everywhere.
