I have had the Cherokee a month now and have run through Tank and a half of Gas. Here are My impressions so far. Very smooth acceleration and shifting for a full sized SUV. (4.0 Automatic) Decent Mileage (18.8 mpg) for a full sized SUV. Plenty of seating and cargo space. Issues to be addressed, A/C isn't functional (crappy seals? Compressor? Suggestions?) I have a leak somewhere on the Passenger side when it rains (Windshield?, Passenger window?, suggestions?) All in all I like it and it is a nice change from the 1990 Dodge Caravan (AKA the Goobermobile per the Kids) that I have had since 1996.:)

Cherokees like to leak around the windshield seams when they get older. I had the same issue with mine. I ran a bead of clear silicone around both edges of the trim and it stopped the leak.

Hopefully yours will be this easy. Sometimes the pinch seams on the unibody are the culprit.

The XJ isn't a full sized SUV. Mid size I believe.

Details, Details. I suppose compared to a Expedition it's not full sized but it is Huge compared to the Sister in law's Kia Sorento.;)
