So I want to keep my Xjs stock height because it’s extremely nimble right now but I want to get a long arm upgrade an eventually regear the differentials to get more torque. Any thoughts on where I would find that kind of upgrade?

Short answer: Any number of the websites and companies that manufacture, distribute, or install Jeep products.

Better answer:
Gears and such- Quick Performance Inc, East Coast Gear Supply, or Rons Machining Service are the best.
Lifts and jeep parts- Quadratec, Clayton, Rubicon Express, Rustys, 4wp, PolyPerformance, SummitRacing, amazon, Zoneoffroad, RuffStuff, or IronRockoffroad.

You cannot run long arms on stock height I believe. The uptravel would bind and clash with the unibody. Changing gears and staying on stock size tires will kill your top speed but indeed give you more torque...on an already torquey vehicle. I don't really need to know your motives, but you might want to rethink them unless you are lifting and getting larger tires?

That is a good question. What you are going for is commonly called a LCOG (low center of gravity) build. Typically the long arm upgrade would involve longer travel with moving the front bump stop down about 2". Without moving that bump stop down, I think Superman is right. The arms would contact the uniframe. Randy's Worldwide is a Yukon manufacturer and distributor now and has all the stuff with high quality

So, it is possible on a stock XJ, to use a radius long arms as long as proper bump stops are installed for clearance? I have always wanted to try this, no one makes a kit though. Figured I could buy the kit and mounting set-up and just modify the lengths.
