I bought some headlights for my ‘99 and they look great but only the high beams work. Even with the high beam switch off and just the normal low beam knob pulled out only the high beams work. I have no clue what’s going on if someone could help it would be great

you have to give us details about what kind of lights you bought? Did you replace the wiring harness?

No I didn’t replace the wiring harness. They’re just detect replacement cheap headlights off of amazon. One other guy had the same problem in the reviews and he also had a cherokee

To add to it the high beam light on my cluster is dim without the high beams engaged and gets brighter with them engaged

some led headlights require resistors. do you know if yours required them? How is your headlight wiring harness in the Jeep? make sure your grounds are good. and there isn't corrosion in the connectors.

Alright i’m make sure to check all of the connections. I’m not sure if i need the resistors or not.

I woujld have to chase down your voltages on your wires to be sure, but I think that the high beam and low beam wires might be backwards for your new bulbs. I had that problem on some 4X5 bulbs on my old Ford
