I got some new parts yesterday so I figured it was time to start a build thread to keep track of everything.

I got my 1998 Cherokee Sport completely stock in 2007 towards the end of my sophomore year in high school

Than I saved up and bought a Rusty's 6.5" lift

Looked pretty awesome like that  but I went ahead and bought some 33" Toyo A/Ts

It stayed like this for awhile with the exception of the front bumper my dad and I built

good start, dude.

if you haven't already, i'd suggest pulling the line off the dangling vacuum bottle feeding it back up into the engine bay, and stuffing the bottle behind the battery.
Thats how it sat until this summer and I started doing a few smaller things to it. First I took the doors off

Than I lifted the back end of the hood

And here's the spacer on the underneath side

Than I trimmed the fenders.. Cut and folded th Rears

Guess I don't have a picture of the fronts cut.. Taped off

And the inner pinch seem I cut and folded as well

The paint was chipping from the rear cuts so I went ahead and truck bed coated the 1/4 panels and rockers

Yeah man I just pushed it up behind the bumper and screwed it to the fender support bracket. Its out of sight now

Man great looking transformation! Can't wait to see more.
Nice.

What are the rod ends for?
Thanks guys. The rod ends are going to be for the new upper control arm. I'm in the process of building a front 3 link similar to the Rock Krawler kit.

Made up some brackets for the frame side lower control arms

Well I got the Ruff Stuff Specialties frame stiffeners welded up and the front 3 link finished last night, and it works way better than I could have hoped for  The new lower control arms are ~30in long and I guess I forgot to measure the upper but I believe it's like 4-5in shorter. Anyways onto the pics...
Here it is looking at the passenger side

Looking from the axle back

Looking from back to front

Everything painted up

And here is why it was worth it.. The pictures were taken right before the rear driver side tire lifted

Nice!!!

Awesome work
WOW...........Thats a butt load more flex. Really nice job!
nice work! looks good  how does it drive down the road with the three link?
Thanks guys I love how much better the flex is and the ride quality seems to have increased as well. Doesn't feel as much of a brick as it used to.

My rear shackle (still using the stock shackle) is completely vertical at ride height and gives for a crappy ride and no rear flex.. You guys got any ideas for improving that :dunno:
Muddeprived did a nice piece on shackle relocation brackets and they looked to work perfectly. Maybe he will see this and post the link.

That really looked like a good fix for that issue.

Hey thanks man I did a little search and found this http://www.cherokeetalk.com/forum/f64/shackle-relocation-brackets-9684/ Looks like it would help out ALOT! I'm thinking that plus a longer shackle would work awesome... but than I might have to do something about my spring pack since I'm already sky high in the rear
Well I got bored today so I decided to build some rock sliders... but than I got lazy so I only did the the driver side :D
