I don't have any information on the electronic stuff from Jeep, but if you aren't able to resolve it with them, here is an alternative that I find very useful. It is called Back Country Navigator. Inexpensive app that has some capability your Jeep app does not. You can do the waypoint thing or track your route. It uses one of several USGS free map sources available to the public. One thing you can do that is cool is take pics with your phone and link them to waypoints. It will not tell you where and how to get there. So you do need to do a little prep work and plan ahead. For instance a navigation program would not route you up this "trail" which turned out to be a nice rock crawl up the side of this canyon
